Welcome to
the 2013 season of the
Unifour Junior Golf
Tour. The
Unifour Junior Golf Tour is for
middle & high school players. The
Unifour
Junior Golf Tour is open to both boys and
girls. There will be two divisions in the
Unifour Junior Golf Tour; the middle
School and high school divisions. The high
school division will be divided into two
flights; the freshman/sophomore and the
junior/senior.
In the
middle school division there will be a
boy’s championship and a girl’s
championship. In the high school division
there are two flights and each flight will
have a boy’s championship and a girl’s
championship.
There will
be first, second and third place awards
for both boys and girls at each
tournament. Each tournament will have
1,000 points up for grabs for both girls
and boys in their respective segments.
Tour Points will be awarded thru the 66th
finishing spot in each segment.
At the end
of the season the girl and boy in each
segment that accumulates the most points
will be crowned the Tour Champion for
their segment.
The
Unifour
Junior Golf Tour will hold 26 18 hole
events and four 36 hole events (Majors).
Currently all UJGT events are dovetailed
into the UGA Tour. Once the UJGT becomes a
qualified ranking tour all summer events
will be held during the week as 36 hole
events and the four majors will be 54 hole
events.
The
Unifour
Junior Golf Tour is ideal for high school
golfers who are serious about their
performance growth. The
Unifour Junior
Golf Tour is young and has it’s sight set
on becoming a Tarheel Youth Golf
Association ranked Tour. To qualify for
ranking there has to be a certain number
of both girls and boys playing in each
event from the back tees. Your participation in the UJGT will
help bring more junior ranked events to
Western NC.
Handicaps
will be required and can be obtained
through the Tour if one is needed for $20.
The UJGT is owned and operated by the
Unifour Golf Assocaition. The UGA
is in its 13th season providing golfers of
all skill levels the opportunity to
develop their playing skills in an
environment that is conducive to their
development through competition, education
and instruction. |
